Critical Considerations for Providing Successful Educational Opportunities
New York State 3-hour Training with Certificate of Completion presented by David Meichenbaum, Ph.D., Director of Consulting Services
Summit Educational Resources has been identified by the New York State Education Department as a Certified Approved Provider of Coursework/Training in the Needs of Students with Autism.
This 3-hour training is offered in response to the increase number children being identified as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder and to meet the requirements of Chapter 484 of the Education Laws of 2008 specifying all candidates applying for certification/license as a special education teacher needs to complete coursework/training in understanding the needs of children with autism, as do school administrators/special education supervisors.
Emphasis will be placed on critical programmatic, team, instructional, environmental, and behavioral considerations to optimize the successful inclusion and education of students with ASD. All participants will receive an NYSED-approved authorized Certificate of Completion.
