"The progress that Langston made over the years at the school is evident. His speech became much more pronounced as he began to talk better; his diction is perfect; his sentences have become longer; he's been able to actually comprehend better: he's made just wonderful progress. I would say it's a loving environment with a staff that's very caring, very understanding. From a parent's point of view I feel very secure that my son is there. I know he is getting a good education. They're doing all that they can to provide a growing atmosphere."

Preschool Programs

Home
Summit offers a broad range of services to preschool-age children who present developmental delays. A team of professionals in concert with the child's parents develop a detailed education plan that specifies the objectives for learning to be provided in the most appropriate setting. Our professional staff then provide services as specified in the plan, working to achieve the specific objectives for learning. For example, one of our many speech pathologists may travel to a family’s home or preschool program and provide instruction to improve the child’s ability to use words to communicate and to be more easily understood by others. Collaboration between providers, parents, and preschool teachers is the key to promoting carryover of newly developed skills.

Summit's highly qualified staff are available to serve children in every area of early child development including:

Social Work Speech Pathology
Occupational Therapy Special Education
Psychology Physical Therapy
Bilingual Services (Spanish) Audiology
Preschool Applied Behavior Analysis

Hearing Impaired Services
