Summit provides a variety of after school, evening, weekend and home and community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Most of these services are offered to individuals who are enrolled in Medicaid Waiver, a program funded by the New York State Office for People With Developmental of Disabilities (OPWDD). Some are funded through the Western New York Developmental Disability Services office (WNY DDSO). Others are funded through New York State Education Department’s VESID program. In most cases, eligibility for these programs is based solely on the level of a disability, not on family or individual income.
